Pension Perks is the UK's first universal membership scheme designed exclusively for pensioners. We help you save money at the local, independent shops and businesses you use every day - while helping those businesses thrive at the same time.
Whether you worked in the public sector, the private sector, or stayed at home raising a family, you qualify. If you receive a UK pension, Pension Perks is built for you.
Great question! We wanted to keep the name short, snappy, and easy to remember. Pension Perks says exactly what it is - perks that come with your pension. Simple as that.
Absolutely not. Pension Perks has no connection to your pension payments or provider whatsoever. It's simply a membership card available to anyone in the UK who receives a pension - because you've earned it, and you deserve a little something back.
Pension Perks costs just £2.99 a month, or £30 a year if you pay annually - that's less than the price of a cup of coffee a month. If you pay annually your membership includes one physical card posted to you each year, plus full access to the Pension Perks app and all the discounts on offer. If you pay monthly you get all the perks, just without the physical card.
🪪 Joining as a Member
Pension Perks is open to anyone in the UK who receives a pension. It doesn't matter whether that's a state pension, a workplace pension, or a private pension. If you're receiving a UK pension, the door is open.
Registering is quick and straightforward. We'll ask for a few basic details: your name, address, email address, and mobile number - along with a recent photo (a selfie works perfectly) and proof of your pension status. Accepted proof includes:
- Bank statements showing regular pension payments
- A letter from the Pension Service confirming your status
- A Pension Credit letter from the Pension Service
- An age-verifying document such as a passport or birth certificate
Around five minutes from start to finish. We've kept the process as simple and painless as possible - because your time is precious.
Absolutely. You can cancel your Pension Perks membership at any time with no penalties and no awkward phone calls. We'd be sorry to see you go, but we believe in keeping things simple and fair.
📱 Your Card & App
If you have opted to pay annually you will be sent a physical card. Once you've registered and made your first payment, your Pension Perks card will be processed and posted straight to you. You should expect it to arrive within 7 to 10 working days.
Your digital card lives on the Pension Perks app or in your browser, and works exactly like your physical card in-store. It's brilliant for those moments when you've popped out without your wallet - simply pull it up on your phone and you're good to go.
The Pension Perks app is your membership in your pocket. As well as your digital ID card, the app lets you browse all available discounts near you, search the map for local businesses, and manage your account - all in one place. And if apps aren't your thing, everything is also accessible through any web browser on your phone or computer.
Simply use your registered email address and password to log in - either through the Pension Perks UK app, or via your browser at pensionperks.co.uk. If you ever forget your password, you can reset it in seconds.
💷 Using Your Discounts
It couldn't be simpler. When you visit a participating Pension Perks retailer, just show your physical card or your digital card on the app to the staff, and they'll apply your discount. No codes, no vouchers, no faff.
Each retailer sets their own terms for how their discount can be used, so it's always worth checking the details on the offer. As a general rule, the discount is personal to the cardholder - you cannot use your card on behalf of someone else, and one offer can be used per retailer, per day.

No. Your Pension Perks card is personal to you and cannot be used by anyone else. This is to protect the integrity of the scheme and to make sure our retail partners can continue offering great discounts with confidence.
Discounts vary by retailer, but you can expect offers across a wide range of local businesses including cafés and restaurants, bookshops, pharmacies, health and fitness studios, homeware stores, hair salons, and more. Typical offers include percentage discounts (5–15% off), buy-one-get-one-free deals, and free items with purchase.
🏪 For Retailers
Head to our Become a Retailer page and fill in the short registration form. We'll ask for your business name and address, logo, contact details, and the offer you'd like to make to Pension Perks members. The whole process takes just a few minutes.
Joining Pension Perks as a retailer is currently completely free. We believe in making it as easy as possible for local businesses to connect with loyal local customers - so there are no listing fees, no commissions, and no hidden costs.
Once you've submitted your registration, our team will review your details and your offer. Once approved, your business will go live on the Pension Perks map automatically - and you'll receive an email to let you know you're live.
Absolutely. Pension Perks is designed to be flexible and work around your business. If you need to update or remove your offer at any time, simply email us at hello@pensionperks.co.uk and we guarantee to make the change within 48 hours.
We'll ask for your business name, full address (including postcode), email address, contact telephone number, your company logo, and proof of company ownership or employment. You'll also choose the offer you'd like to make to Pension Perks members.

No. We do not share your personal details with any third parties without your full and prior consent. Your information is used only to manage your Pension Perks membership. Full stop.
Yes, absolutely. We are fully committed to your privacy and comply with all UK GDPR requirements. Our privacy principles are straightforward - we will never share your information without your explicit knowledge and permission, and we will always adhere to the laws that protect your rights as a user.
As Pension Perks grows and new features are added, our core privacy principles will always remain unchanged.
All payments are processed securely through an encrypted payment provider. Pension Perks never stores your full card details on our systems. Your financial information is handled with the same care and respect as all your other personal data.
